Default How Can You Get A Guild

Can you ask nicely for it?

Can you shout for it?

Can you get it randomly?

Oh, is it hard to get it?

Thanks.

I am guessing you don't have one of your own yet? Cost money to make a Guild....but nothing to join one, or at least it shouldn't.

Ah Gold... hard to come, maybe... depends on who you know, and where you go... depends on how you play the angles, and your game. Common sense and good communication, between you and your adventure party and the NPCs in the game is critical.

But yeah it takes Gold... to build a Guild, but it takes people willing to work together and communicate to have a Guild.

There are hundreds of ways to earn the Gold required... the how and the adventure is yours.

No I don't have a guild.

But what I'm asking isn't 'How much does it cost?' I'm asking how hard is it to get one?

Do guilds invite random people?

Do they invite friends?

Do they invite really good players?

Sorry if I come off cross but, guilds invite whoever they want to. Different guilds have different standered to join. One guild might say yea, come on in. While another might look at you and bust out laughing, and you might catch them inbetween their wheezing saying, "and he actually thought he would get in too!!!" So it really comes down to if the guild thinks your good enough to join theirs, if they think your nice enough, team playing enough. So to really sum it up (really this time I mean it !) It depends on the guild.

A guild is a guild is a guild... some suck... some don't... but they all start about the same way if that's what you're asking...

give 50gold and a Celestial Cigil to the Guild Registrar. You can buy the Cigil or win it by holding the Hall of Heroes (tombs) for a round.

Lightbulb Example:

Since you seem to want an example, I'll use my guild as one.

The Protectors of Ascalon accept those of any proffesion as long as they swear to uphold peace and to defend ascalon from any who might destroy it! We are a strong roleplaying guild, and require only that you be nice and obey our code, seen in our website.

That is a standard guild recruitment line, though others may require you to be dedicated to GvG or PvP, or just that you be nice and have fun. It's not hard to join a guild, unless the person leading the guild wants it to be.

Ok, suppose I meet four or five people and we take a notion: "Hey, let's form a guild together!" Is there a guild director NPC one talks to to set it up, or something like that?

It's not too hard to get one. All you need is the gold and the sigil. During the last BWE, you could find the Guild Registrar in Ascalon Pre-Searing (the pretty green Ascalon) so you didn't even have to get to Lion's Arch to make a guild.

Whom they invite depends on the guild. Some prefer to be tight-knitted, some are in it for the fun of it. Some are strictly PvP, some PvE, and some a mixture of both. Some of them have an open invite, and some of them would need for you to audition and want to play with you before they invited you. It all depends on the individual guilds.

Dave III, if you meet up with some friends and decide you wanna start a guild, then all you have to do is pool together enough gold, get the sigil, find the GUILD REGISTRAR and tell him you wanna make a guild. Then you choose the design of your cape, your emblem and the color. Ta-dah!!! You have yourself a guild.

So if you get your guild during bwe does it (the guild) get wiped at release?

If not then it would be good advise to get your guild started soon......right?

Actually they are saying that the guilds will be wiped after the BWE but it's till goo for 2 more weekends before the release. They want to start things of fairly even, so every chrecter goes back to level 1 with their new special Item for the pre-order. The guilds are gone including names (so far that is, there is a patition to keep names )

I believe people who have pre-ordered guild wars will be able to play it from the previous day.
